Jefferson City’s once-comfortable lead against Rolla was all but gone when Lady Jays coach Christine Meyer called a timeout.
With the score tied at 23 in the second game, Jefferson City needed a quick talk from its leader.
The chat worked as the Lady Jays scored the final two points, including an emphatic kill by Madison Bond, as Jefferson City staved off Rolla’s rally in the second game to hang on for a 25-13, 25-23 victory Tuesday night at Fleming Fieldhouse.
