As of Monday, Jefferson City has a one-stop shop for batteries and light bulbs.

Batteries Plus, which has more than 520 locations in 46 states, opened its first store in Jefferson City on Monday at 1922 Missouri Blvd. Its website claims to offer more than 40,000 battery and light bulb products.

Jefferson City approved a total of 72 business licenses in August.
