Holts Summit Administrator Brian Crane said Monday the city has applied for a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant from the Missouri Department of Economic Development to build a new city street to serve Pro Foods Systems Inc., a Holts Summit food distribution firm.
To qualify for the grant, the firm must agree to hire 40 new employees during the next three years.
