COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers had the Georgia Bulldogs right where they wanted them Saturday night.

Leading the Bulldogs 17-9 in the third quarter, Missouri appeared to moving in on a possible first victory in the Southeastern Conference.

Then the game snowballed.

A pair of turnovers led to two short touchdowns for Georgia, and a questionable fake punt call added up to a 41-20 Bulldog victory on Saturday night at Faurot Field.

"You can't make the kind of mistakes we made in games like that and survive," Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said. "You're not going to win games like that against people like that and survive."

In a matter of minutes, the Tigers went from competing with the No. 7 team country to dealing with a three-touchdown deficit.
