JC School Board getting closer to property deals?

The biggest news coming from Tuesday's Jefferson City School Board meeting may not be known for another month, or so.

As it has for the past few months, the seven-member board's meeting agenda includes a closed-door, executive session where Superintendent Brian Mitchell will update members on progress in the search for a possible location for a new high school complex, and for entities interested in acquiring the current high school and Simonsen 9th Grade Center properties.

"I think the conversations are going really well," Mitchell said last week.
