Today is the deadline for neighborhood watch groups to contact the Jefferson City Police Department if they want to have a visit as part of the annual National Night Out Against Crime.
This year’s event takes place Thursday, Sept. 13.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and send a message that the community is organized to fight back against crime.
