On Thursday at about 7 p.m., a 16 year-old male juvenile from Jefferson City entered the victim's apartment located in the 1500 block of East McCarty Street.
The suspect held the victim, a 46 year-old male, at gunpoint and stole his wallet which contained some currency and an EBT card.
The suspect left the area and later returned in the company of a second juvenile suspect.
Again, the victim was held at gunpoint as the pair demanded that he provide them the access code for the stolen EBT card.
The victim refused to divulge the access code.
The suspects continued to hold the victim at gunpoint as they ransacked the apartment.
One suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the back and in the arm.
The suspects fled the area but were quickly apprehended by Jefferson City Police a short distance from the scene, at a home in the 1200 blk. of East High Street.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated for stab wounds, which were not life threatening.
The second juvenile suspect is a 13 year-old Jefferson City resident.
The suspects are being detained at the Prenger Family Center and may be charged with 1st Degree Robbery, 1st Degree Assault, and Armed Criminal Action.
The elder juvenile may also face certification to stand trial as an adult.
