Puppies for Parole will hold an barbecue/auction fundraiser at 3 p.m. Saturday at Capital West Christian Church Event Center on Fairgrounds Road.
The organization has given a new leash on life to more than 1,000 shelter dogs throughout the state.
Although at-risk dogs are trained by Missouri Department of Corrections inmates, Puppies for Parole receives no public funding and depends strictly on donations.
