Local woman gets 120 days for robbery

A Jefferson City woman was sentenced Wednesday to 120 days shock incarceration after pleading guilty to robbing Radio Shack on Missouri Boulevard in February.

Sarah Record, 27, was charged with one count of second-degree robbery.

According to the police probable cause statement, Record’s boyfriend grabbed her around the neck from behind, holding a knife to her side and demanding the clerk give him all the money in the store.

The clerk complied, and the male fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash and a PlayStation 3.

A Cole County deputy arrested him after seeing him in the 1000 block of Buena Vista Street.

When authorities were holding him at his residence, Record approached officers and identified herself as the man’s girlfriend who lived with him at the address.

A search warrant at the address led to the discovery of the stolen money, the clothes worn by Lewis during the robbery and the PS3 console.
