JCPD asks for help in motor vehicle part thefts

On Wednesday, Jefferson City police responded to a number of thefts from parked motor vehicles in the Jefferson City North commuter lots.

Based on the victims' statements, it appears that between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., at least seven vehicles parked in those lots were vandalized by unknown suspects who stole the catalytic converters from the underside of the vehicles.

No information about the suspects is known.
