The final result wasn't what they wanted.

But the Helias Crusaders were pleased for the most part with their effort Thursday night.

"We played pretty well," Helias coach Chuck Register said after the Crusaders dropped a 2-1 decision to the St. Francis Borgia Knights at the 179 Soccer Park. "I think we played like we were already in mid-season form, there are just a few things we need to work on to push us over the hump to play for 80 minutes, not 70 minutes."

The Knights tallied the game-winner with about five minutes remaining.

The goal came after a scramble among a slew of Crusaders and Knights in front of the Helias net. Adam Meyer scored for Borgia on a play where Helias missed on opportunities to clear it.
