Two hurt in Jefferson City collision

Two people suffered minor injuries when their vehicles collided Wednesday afternoon at a Jefferson City intersection.

Police report a Honda Accord driven by Janet Dorman, 60, Columbia was westbound on Missouri Boulevard in the inside lane at 1:02 p.m. when it collided with a Mazda that had entered the intersection from northbound Southwest Boulevard.

The driver of the Mazda -- Erin Ogg, 33, Russellville -- was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Dorman reported minor chest pain from the impact but declined any further medical treatment at the scene by emergency personnel.

Witnesses at the scene told police that Dorman's car entered the intersection on a red light resulting in the collision.
