Jays blank Hickman in soccer

COLUMBIA - Three games, three shutouts for the Jefferson City Jays.

Jefferson City got two goals from Marcus Woodruff on Tuesday night in a 4-0 victory over the Hickman Kewpies. It was Jefferson City's first win at Hickman since the school shifted to Field Turf nearly a decade ago.

Brandon Wiler and Emanuel Kwocha also scored goals for Jefferson City (3-0). Aaron Crane, Nathan Luebbert, Dylan Brauner and Woodruff were credited with assists.

Adam Grunden was in goal for Jefferson City, which will host Marquette on Saturday.

In Tuesday's JV game, Mervyn John scored three goals for Jefferson City in its 3-0 victory over Hickman. Zach Brooks got the shutout in goal for the Jays (5-2).
