Opener gives Tigers plenty of different looks

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A new era of Missouri football has officially arrived, as the Tigers open their inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference today.

But by no fault of Missouri’s season-opening opponent today, the real excitement is still a week away when Georgia visits Faurot Field.

So today’s season opener against Southeastern Louisiana (6 p.m. kickoff) should provide the Tigers a chance to show off some of their depth, particularly at the receiver position.
