Filing for Jefferson City municipal elections will open at 8 a.m. Nov. 13, with five seats open on City Council, as well as municipal judge and city prosecutor.
Candidates interested in running for city office must have three endorsements from residents who reside in the area the candidate wishes to represent. If more than two candidates file for the same seat, a primary will be held March 5. The general election will be held April 2.
No filing fee is required and candidate endorsement forms, as well as qualification requirements, can be found on the city's website or by visiting the City Clerk's Office at City Hall.
