Stuck in a late-season funk, Jefferson City had a lot of frustration to get off its chest after last Friday's 28-18 loss to Rock Bridge.

So Jays coach Ted LePage decided it was time to throw things in the trash, literally, before his team started to prepare for Friday's Class 6 District 3 game against Fort Zumwalt West at Adkins Stadium.

"We started on Saturday, we had what we called a trash party," LePage said. "We had our players write down stuff they were really frustrated by, read it to the team, and then throw it in the trash can and then let's move forward."
