CAMDENTON, Mo. - The Jefferson City volleyball team saved its best for the end.
The Lady Jays eked out a 28-26 victory in a wild first game and then romped past top seed Willard 25-12 in the second game to claim the Class 4 District 10 championship Tuesday night.
"You want to be able to say that you played the best that you possibly could at the end of the season, and we did," Jefferson City head coach Christine Meyer said.
The second-seeded Jays advance to take on Helias in a sectional game Saturday.
