One arrested for assault in JC

On Monday at 6:50 p.m., police officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of E. Miller St.

A female called 9-1-1 stating she had just cut her boyfriend while she was fighting with him.

The victim, a 21 year old Jefferson City resident, was cut on the right forearm by the suspect during the argument. The victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital by Cole County EMS for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

Tatiyana S. Cephus, a 21 year old Jefferson City resident, was arrested and transported to Cole County Jail.

A charge for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree is being sought from the Cole County Prosecutor.
