N.B. school board ponders more district income
Friday, October 19, 2012
David Tramel, New Bloomfield R-3 School District superintendent, has asked individual school board members to meet with him to help find additional sources of income for the district.
Tramel said other than a local tax levy increase, current prospects appear slim for more money to finance additional school spending next year.
At Thursday night’s meeting, Tramel told the New Bloomfield Board of Education he has reviewed the school district’s budget showing a $123,000 surplus at the end of the current quarter, which he said is close to the district’s five-year average for the same quarter.
“The current budget is on track and is within reasonable parameters,” Tramel said.

Maybe NB would be able to give actual educators a raise if they didn't waste money on the ball fields and parking lot.
