Hayes fourth, Jungmeyer seventh at state golf tournament

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - It was a little different the second time around for School of the Osage golfer Taylor Hayes.

After ending the first round of the Class 1 state golf tournament last year tied for first, Hayes found herself almost too excited for her second round. She finished in seventh that season. This year, after ending the first round in fourth place, she was able to relax in her second round.

Hayes earned all-state honors with a two-day total of 162, finishing in fourth place Tuesday at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
