Man shot by Mo. troopers out of hospital
Tuesday, October 16, 2012
UNION, Mo. (AP) — An eastern Missouri man with a history of anti-government commentary is out of the hospital, more than a month after he was shot by Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers.
Jeffrey Weinhaus had been hospitalized since Sept. 11 when two troopers arranged to meet him at a gas station near St. Clair to serve a warrant for his arrest for two counts of drug possession and one count of tampering with a judicial officer.
The patrol says Weinhaus reached for a gun during the meeting and troopers shot him. Franklin County prosecutor Bob Parks says Weinhaus was released from a hospital last week, but declined to give details of his condition.
Parks says he will review patrol reports before deciding whether to file charges against Weinhaus.

What is the PA waiting for? Does this guynhave to actually shoot someone before charges can be filed? The guy already had an invitation to visit the local jail...when the Troopers tried to take him in...the guy goes for a gun. Geez isn't that enough for charges? Look at his background...drug warrant...well is he a felon, if so then why not charge him as a felon in possession of a firearrm? There has to be some way to legally lock this guy away "BEFOIRE" he does something that kills somebody.
