Lawyer arrested for drugs in Cole County Jail

Thomas R. Robbins, a Jefferson City lawyer, was arrested this weekend for possessing drugs in the Cole County Jail. The Sheriff's Department confirmed the arrest Monday.

Two charges have been filed against Robbins, with separate case numbers. But the details of those cases were not available Monday evening from the circuit clerk's office or from Case.net, the state court system's online case reporting system.

The Missouri Bar lists Robbins as having been admitted to the Bar, to practice law in the state, in December 2005. He currently is listed in the Bar's online "Official Directory of Missouri Lawyers" as an "active" attorney in "good standing."
