A Jefferson City man died in a two vehicle crash, Monday afternoon, in Ralls County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Jason Wood, 40, Jefferson City, was on Missouri 19, a half-mile south of North Missouri 154 at Perry Junction, around 3 p.m.
He crossed the center line of the road and struck a tractor, driven by George Johnson, 70, Maywood, head on.
Johnson ran off the road and overturned.
Wood's vehicle came to rest in the middle of the road and caught fire.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was flown to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
He was wearing a seat belt.
It was unknown if Wood was wearing a seat belt.
