Helias takes third at Invitational

WASHINGTON — The Helias Lady Crusaders captured a third-place finish in the nine-team Borgia Invitational on Saturday.

Helias racked up 96 points, Rock Bridge was second with 75 and Ste. Genevieve took first with 24.

Jefferson City, running without its top six girls in the meet, still managed to finish in fourth place with 104 points.

The Jays took fifth out of 20 teams on the boys side while running without its top five.

Jefferson City had 165 points, while Helias finished 10th with 227. Saint Louis University High won the event with 68 points.
