After slow start, Lady Jays rout Lady Kewpies

They didn’t start great, but boy, oh boy, did they finish well.

The Jefferson City volleyball team fell behind the Hickman Kewpies 9-4 to start Thursday night’s match at Fleming Fieldhouse, but held a 46-17 advantage the rest of the way to post a 25-17, 25-9 victory.

But with all the off-court activities going on — it was Senior Night and Pink-Out Night — it’s understandable why the Lady Jays might have been not too quick on the draw.
