3 in custody after stolen vehicle recovered in JC

On Sunday at 11:48 p.m. a Jefferson City Police officer stopped a 1995 green Oldsmobile in the 500 block of W. McCarty St. for an equipment violation.
The vehicle was driven by Shawn Anthony Moore, a 32 year old Jefferson City resident.
There were two passengers in the vehicle, Macie S. Jenkins, a 19 year old with no known residence and Brantley E. Carroll, a 21 year old Camdenton resident.
The officer received information that the vehicle was stolen from the Springfield area.
Shawn Moore was arrested for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree and Driving While Revoked.
Macie Jenkins was arrested for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree.
Brantley Carroll was also arrested for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree, Forgery and had a Parole warrant for burglary.
All three suspects are in the Cole County jail pending charges.
