Today marks 100 years since the creation of Jefferson City’s full-time Fire Department and firefighters have been out in full force this weekend to celebrate.
People lined the sides of High Street on Saturday morning to watch the Fire Service Parade, which featured 125 fire trucks and apparatus from all over the state. Fire Chief Bob Rennick said the most historic truck featured came from Washington, Mo., and was a truck from 1917.
