Dorge’s clutch hit gives championship to Blair Oaks

WARDSVILLE, Mo. — Four days after Blair Oaks bounced Southern Boone 10-0 in five innings in a regular-season softball contest, the teams met again Saturday in the title game of the Class 3 District 10 Tournament.

In a much more tense contest this time, the Lady Falcons needed a dramatic final at-bat to escape with a 3-2 victory at the Falcon Athletic Complex.

“It was interesting and difficult, as it should be in a district championship game, especially against Southern Boone,” Blair Oaks coach Sharon Buschjost said.
