Jays win 56-21
It didn’t take Jefferson City long to get its confidence back.
Jefferson City raced out to a 35-7 halftime lead Friday night and rolled to a 56-21 win against Gateway Tech at Adkins Stadium.
Coming off a loss the previous week against Hickman, Friday’s Homecoming game was just what the doctor ordered for the Jays.
“We had to,” Jefferson City head coach Ted LePage said about scoring early. “We felt like this was a must-win game because of our confidence. As the first quarter wore on, I think we got more and more confident. And as we got more and more confident, then we started getting a little bit of our swagger back.”
