Motorists on U.S. 50 in Cole County will soon experience a smoother ride thanks to work to resurface a portion of the highway.

A project to resurface the eastbound and westbound lanes of 50 between Truman Boulevard in Jefferson City and the Routes D and T interchange in St. Martins will begin on Monday.

Work will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., with some additional work taking place during daytime hours.
