Fundraiser set to benefit Amvets highway markers

A fundraising dinner to benefit the effort to mark Missouri 94 as AMVETS Memorial Highway will be held Sunday in Mokane.

Bob Spencer of Mokane, who organized the effort to mark the highway, said the $10 donation dinner will be at the Albert & Joann Litel Memorial Pavilion in Mokane.

Food, which will be served from noon to 6 p.m., will be provided by Bobby D’s. It includes fried chicken or ham, potatoes and gravy, green beans and salad.
