WARDSVILLE, Mo. — Opponents of Blair Oaks know who they have to contain if they want to be successful.

That would be returning all-state guard LeeAnn Pololwy and her 18 points per game. After that is where head coach Leroy Bernskoetter hopes to find a second or third scoring threat for his team.

“It’s something we’ve been working on, the offensive end,” Bernskoetter said as the Lady Falcons open the season against Boonville at 4:30 p.m. today in the semifinals at the Eugene Tournament. “You hope a year of maturity, experience will pay off with these seniors. A couple of them worked hard in the offseason shooting, and hopefully that will pay off.”
