Small fire at JC High School

This morning around 6:30 a.m. a small fire was discovered and extinguished on the third floor of Jefferson City High School.

School officials said the fire was contained to one room and appears to have been an electrical fire.

The third floor was sealed off through the morning to air out the area.

Some third floor classes were moved to the cafeteria and gym.

All other classes went on as usual.

The Jefferson City Fire Department was called and after inspecting the area gave it the "all clear."
