Shoppers turn out for Small Business Saturday
Sunday, November 25, 2012
Small Business Saturday may not have generated the frenzied crowds seen at the chain stores on Black Friday, but by all reports Jefferson City retailers were pleasantly surprised, even elated, at the overflow of enthusiastic shoppers who visited their establishments this weekend.
On Saturday morning, Sam Bushman, owner of Samuel’s Tuxedos, was hustling from the back to the front of his store with his hands full of toys needed to refill the front displays. Bushman said, “We’ve been slammed since before 9 a.m. and customers are buying. It’s wonderful.”
