The year: 1621. Those people finally had enough food stored for the winter so they give thanks to God.
So why be thankful? Be thankful for all blessings. Like what?
Consider this experiment with only hot water. To be thankful for only hot water, do this. Early Thursday morning go to the hot water tank and close the water supple faucet. The family will continue to have cold water for showers, drinking and sewage. After frustrations from that cold shower, the thankfulness for hot water should make a strong point to start a list of items for thanksgiving.
But, to whom shall we give thanks for so much like sunshine, health and every good. "Oh give thanks unto the Lord ..." Psalm 118:1
