Missouri not alone

There’s a new superpower growing in the Great Plains and the South, where bulging Republican majorities in state capitols could dramatically cut taxes and change public education with barely a whimper of resistance from Democrats.

Contrast that with California, where voters have given Democrats a new dominance that could allow them to raise taxes and embrace same-sex marriage without regard to Republican objections.

If you thought the presidential election revealed the nation’s political rifts, consider the outcomes in state legislatures. The vote also created a broader tier of powerful one-party governments that can act with no need for compromise. Half of state legislatures now have veto-proof majorities, up from 13 only four years ago, according to figures compiled for The Associated Press by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

I wonder if this has to do with the damage created between 2008-2010 at the federal level. The attitude I remember from the main donk spokesman Mr. Obama was, "we won". What goes around, comes around. California deserves itself and so does Illinois. If those id10ts want to take home less pay, more power to them.

What, lose a horrific and pointless war trying to secede into a government that's exactly like all the other governments? Right.

What, do you mean? Lose, or drive the Country to the brink of economic collapse?

Exactly what I pointed out had happened, oh and BTW exactly what I said was going to happen a few months back. Of course according to Sec-o-ya my predictions are always wrong.

Sectionalism pure and simple. The Liberal strategy of importing voters, voter fraud and focusing only on the needs of the urban areas has created this rift and it has continued to grow. The Liberals are losing America because they are too focused on high density areas to push their Mob rule agenda.

Of course these United States were not set up for mob rule. Now if the States would just grow a pair the numbers are there for real change. If they don't well the Sectionalism will continue to grow and grow worse until it blows.

Ben Franklin said (arguably some say he didn't) That democracy is three wolves and two sheep voting on whats for dinner.

Well today's Mob rule Democracy brought to us by the Liberal Democrat party could more accurately be described as:

58 million coyotes and 56 million cougars deciding on what is going to be for dinner. I wouldn't lay bets on the coyotes eating much.

I think the idea that somehow Obama stole the Presidency through payoffs and fraud is so sad. I agree that his appeal to the communitarian urban poor, diverse, educated, female, young allowed him to eke out a win. That's politics, but it was done legally. With the alleged swindles of Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2008, I don't see much traction with the fraud thing. It was the largest margin, both popular and electoral, in decades. Romoney won many states, but by margins, not by landslides, so the view that the dense population centers stole the election from the true America just doesn't wash. Millions of Southern and Midwestern voters looked at the GOP's Presidential candidate, and voted their wallets. The ability to lose by the biggest margins in recent history, and to declare that as a victory, is FOXspeak at its finest. The sectionalism is there, but not the rift you envision. The secessionist silliness is just that, extremists and the discontented using a new tool to whine. Missouri's supermajority will not get our state out of the union, but could gut our revenues in the name of short-term greed and long-term uncompetitiveness. Let's do that, let's regress to an economic state where paved roads and decent schools are a memory, where faux science is prefered to reality, where religion, of a particular faith only, determines the lives of all our citizens, where there's no real difference, other than dogma, between Missouri and Pakistan. Burn the infidels!

Rural America is already experiencing roads falling apart or being chewed up into gravel from pavement. Rural America's revenues have already been gutted to pay for the infra-structure and welfare of the cities.

Liberal Democrat policies already in place and agendas they hope to enact our what is killing rural America and redistributing that wealth to the urban area blue enclaves.

The Blue enclaves take all the production from the Red States and then declare they pay more taxes and use less federal dollars but they are simple middlemen and therefore a much larger drain.

No other election in recent history has sparked cries of secession like this one has. The margins of victory in most of the Red states were way above what some Liberal's like to call Obama "Landslide" nationally yet in those cases they are simple margins.

The Rift continues to grow with every imported voter and bussed in voting field trip. Just keep it up!!!

Wrong on every point: Rural roads only fall apart when rural politicians and businesses fail to fund them, Missouri chose to focus on the most traveled roads and bridges, other states have done the same, red and blue. The blue states produce most of our wealth, and fund the red states more than themselves. No other election in recent history had a WhiteHouse web site begging to be used for the secession silliness. The imported voters, field trips and other fraud claims have not been seen outside a few very minor events, and will not impact the final tallys by even a tiny fraction of a percent. It just didn't happen. You're listening to the wrong sources again. Yes, in spite of his clear ineptitude, and the public's ability to see who his real clients were, Romoney had some really big (ingle digit)margins. Proof that a bleated lie works for the fearful. Of course millions voted against theack muslim socialist that Obama was painted as by the FRightWing propaganda machine.
