It will be difficult for the sequel to be any closer than the original.

Make that impossible.

In Week 1 of the season, Helias traveled to Harrisonville and the Crusaders dropped a 38-37 decision in overtime to the Wildcats.

The stakes are a little higher this afternoon when the Crusaders (9-4, ranked No. 5) and Wildcats (11-2, ranked No. 6) meet in the Class 4 semifinals in Harrisonville.

“After that first game, I thought this would be a potential semifinal game,” Helias coach Phil Pitts said. “Now, here it is.”

The Crusaders feel like they have a pretty good idea of what the Wildcats will bring to the 1:30 p.m. contest.
