COLUMBIA, Mo. - There is an old mantra players and coaches like to trot out from time to time called "taking things one game at a time."

And while that phrase rung through the halls of the Missouri Athletic Training Complex several times this week, it's clear Missouri players understand bowl eligibility likely hinges on Saturday night's home finale against Syracuse.

"We know the ultimate goal is to get to a bowl game, it's definitely discussed," Missouri receiver L'Damian Washington said. "We knew at halftime (against Tennessee) going in and we were down, we knew that "Hey, if we want to go to a bowl game, we've got to come out in the second half and give everything we've got,' and I think that's what we did."
