WACO, Texas (AP) - Brittney Griner scored 27 points with eight rebounds and No. 1 Baylor overwhelmed sixth-ranked Kentucky 85-51 on Tuesday night.

Odyssey Sims added 18 points and Destiny Williams had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the defending national champion Lady Bears, who have won 42 games in a row. They play fourth-ranked Stanford in Hawaii on Friday.

After unfurling their 2012 national championship banner before the game, the Lady Bears (2-0) went on to build a 46-19 halftime lead against the defending SEC champions who returned four starters.

A'dia Mathies, the reigning SEC player of the year, had 12 points on 3-of-18 shooting for Kentucky (1-1).

Griner missed her first two shots, but the 6-foot-8 All-American then made 11 in a row. She also had five blocked shots and three steals.

No. 22 OKLAHOMA STATE 74, MISSOURI STATE 71

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Liz Donohoe scored 24 points and Tiffany Bias made four free throws in the final 24 seconds as No. 22 Oklahoma State held off Missouri State 74-71 Tuesday night.

Lindsey Keller had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Cowgirls (2-0). Toni Young added 13 points and Bias finished with 12 points, five steals and a game-high seven assists.

Tyonna Snow led the Bears, playing their season opener, with 19 points and eight steals. Missouri State led 36-29 at halftime, but the Cowgirls scored the first 10 points of the second half.

Bry Snow had 12 points for Missouri State and Whitney Edie had 10 points and eight assists. The Bears shot 46 percent compared to Oklahoma State's 41 percent, but the Cowgirls attempted 14 more shots.
