St. Louis Co. town to kill 125 deer
Tuesday, November 13, 2012
TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. (AP) — The St. Louis County community of Town and Country will hire a sharpshooting company to kill 125 deer.
KTVI-TV (http://bit.ly/UAlHq1 ) reports that the measure is aimed at reducing accidents involving the growing population of deer in the community. Aldermen approved the plan Monday and did the same thing in 2011.
Resident Barbara Ann Hughes told board members the plan doesn’t work because there were 63 deer-related accidents in 2011, most of those before the deer kill, and 65 this year.

Wish Jeff City would do something like this. The deer are overrunning the neighborhoods, and many streets are unsafe to drive after dark because of all the deer.

They need to do this around the country. As an over-the-road driver I've seen herds as large as several hundred deer.

I just hope they plan on donating this meat to a charity or Share the Harvest. If its just disposed of that is such a waste!
And holy crud where are you seeing herds of 100+ deer!!! I know a couple hunters that would like in on that secret!
