Junior running back Garrett Buschjost carried the ball 34 times for 192 yards and a touchdown Saturday afternoon to help the Helias Crusaders to a 31-8 victory against the Clayton Greyhounds in a Class 4 quarterfinal contest at Adkins Stadium.
"I just went out there and did what I had to do," Buschjost said.
With the win, the Crusaders (9-4) advance to Saturday's semifinal. Helias will travel to Harrisonville to take on the Wildcats (11-2) in a rematch of a Week One contest. Harrisonville won that game 38-37 in overtime. Harrisonville defeated Platte County 28-7 in its quarterfinal.
"It's exciting to get to go back to Harrisonville and play for a chance to get to the championship game," Buschjost said.
