WARDSVILLE, Mo. — On a day where the defenses dominated, the Blair Oaks Falcons needed something special Saturday to help them get onto the scoreboard.
Enter Ashton Maasen.
Shortly after the Falcons gave up the lone score Clark County would get all day, Maasen stepped up and sparked Blair Oaks to a 34-3 win in a Class 2 quarterfinal contest at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
With a strong wind at their back, the Indians attempted their first field goal of the season, and Logan Prewitt drilled a 34-yarder to put Clark County up with 4:12 left before halftime.
But that wind played right into the Falcons’ plans.
