Police say school bus ran red light before crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Witnesses have told Marshfield police a bus ran a red light before crashing into a car and sending 16 children to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Springfield News-Leader (http://sgfnow.co/Tm8NHZ) reports police believe the 63-year-old bus driver continued through a red light without stopping Thursday morning and struck a car in the intersection.

Most of the 50 students aboard the bus were uninjured.
