This one’s for bragging rights — sort of.

When Lincoln travels to play Southwest Baptist at 1 p.m. today in the final Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and regular season game of the year for each squad, the winner avoids finishing in last place in the league.

“It’s incentive to win,” Lincoln head coach Mike Jones said. “We want to make sure we get a win. We haven’t won on the road. We just want to end the season with a win and go into the offseason with positive feelings.”

Lincoln sits at 1-9 overall and in the league, while Southwest Baptist sits at 2-8 in both categories. A Blue Tiger victory would give the teams identical records, but Lincoln would finish ahead of Southwest Baptist based on the head-to-head result.
