Waint leaves Cole County post today

Gary Waint’s job for the last six months, as Cole County’s interim courts administrator, ends today.

After 32 years in various state jobs, Waint retired last spring from the Office of State Courts Administrator, then came to the Cole County position a week later.

“I was brought here to assist the (circuit) clerk’s office and the court on some case-management issues, and provide training to our clerks,” Waint noted Wednesday, “and that’s been accomplished.”
