Final steps near on Capitol stairs
Work is nearly complete on the Capitol’s westside steps. Taking most of the summer, the process was lengthy and thorough. The only work remaining is to plant a few trees and shrubs during the next few weeks.

Construction that began on the Missouri Capitol’s westside stairs in March is near completion, according to Office of Administration spokeswoman Wanda Seeney.
The only remaining work is the planting of a few trees and shrubs, which Seeney said should happen within the next few weeks.
Professional Contractors & Engineers Inc. completed the stair project on schedule and within the $1.063 million budget.
