Callaway County voters Tuesday proved they feel confident in leadership at the sheriff’s office. Democrat incumbent Dennis Crane secured an 11,166 - 6,563 win over Republican challenger Steve Anderson.
Republican Randall L. Kleindienst is the newly elected Eastern District county commissioner, defeating Democrat Bryant Liddle, 4,865-3,263.
Republican challenger and local businessman Jody Paschal has taken the Callaway assessor seat. Paschal defeated incumbent Democrat Dan Roe, 6,595-5,103.
Republican Debbie Zerr was elected as the new Callaway treasurer, defeating Democrat Timothy C. Brady, 10,302-7,115.
In a close race, incumbent Karen Digh Allen defeated challenging Republican Kitty Zeugin by a margin of just more than 400 votes for the county’s public administrator seat.
