Cole County commission awards contract on sallyport work
Tuesday, November 6, 2012
The Cole County Commission on Monday awarded Prost Builders a contract to make renovations to the sallyport at the old county jail, behind the county courthouse. Prost was the low bidder among six bids, coming in at $229,556.
The plan calls for: making an opening in the existing north exterior wall; removing the existing freezer, cooler and non-load bearing walls and kitchen equipment; modifying water lines to the existing heating and cooling system; and providing supplemental heating in the garage space.

Tear down the old jail and build something useful. Spending money on the old jail is just like flushing dollar bills down the toilet.

Really jcmo, why do you care if Lifer posts a lot. He slices, he dices, he trolls 'til dawn, but he's one of our better posters, if you've got thick skin. He doesn't like anything or anybody, assumes the worst of every level of government (and iz not oftun rong). If you're seeing it, you must be here reading it . . .

JC Lifer, I did know that, I need to go and set down with those Kochs, because they have only been paying me $4? I would assume they still transport prisoners to the Court house? Rob
