Linn State to take over Nichols adult program

Two more programs could shift to college in future

Starting in the fall of 2013, Linn State Technical College is slated to take over at least one Nichols Career Center adult program, and possibly two more, if accrediting boards approve the transitions.

Currently at Nichols Career Center, three medical-related specialties — dental assisting, practical nursing and radiologic (X-ray) technology — are offered to adult students who take classes during the day. The latter program has been approved by ....
