For the fifth time, student members of the Jefferson City High School Ambassadors Club are hosting Veterans Appreciation Night on Thursday, and continuing to raise money through their Leaf Relief project.

The veterans’ event is expected to be well attended, said club adviser Chris Jarboe, noting nearly all of the 250 tickets available to veterans have been distributed.

Last Thursday morning, about two dozen students gathered in a classroom to learn more about how to prepare for the service event. Jarboe told the students to be ....
